This Privacy Policy describes how LLM Match Maker LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use llmmatchmaker.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. What We Collect

We collect only what is needed to provide, improve, and secure our platform:

  • Account information: When you create an account (via Google sign-in or email), we store your email address, authentication provider, and subscription status. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google but do not access any other Google data.
  • Email address: When you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter or sign up to unlock modules. We store this in our database along with the signup source and date.
  • Payment information: When you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment card details, billing address, and related financial information. We never see or store your full card number. We receive from Stripe only your subscription status, plan type, and a Stripe customer ID so we can manage your access.
  • Quiz results: When you complete our AI assessment quiz, we log your recommended track, AI model match, and confidence scores. This data is anonymous and not linked to your email unless you are logged in.
  • Basic analytics: We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to understand page views and visitor counts. This does not track individual users across sites.
  • Server logs: Our hosting provider automatically collects standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

2. What We Don't Collect

  • We do not use tracking cookies or third-party ad trackers.
  • We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe (a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor), and we never see your full card number, CVV, or billing address.
  • We do not collect your phone number or physical address (unless required by Stripe for tax purposes in your jurisdiction).
  • We do not track your browsing activity across other websites.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Authentication: To create and manage your account, verify your identity, and control access to Pro content.
  • Subscription management: To process payments, manage billing, send receipts, and handle cancellations and refunds.
  • Email: To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, payment receipts) and, if you opt in, our newsletter with AI updates and learning content.
  • Quiz data: To improve quiz accuracy and understand which AI models and tracks are most popular. This helps us create better content.
  • Analytics: To understand which pages are useful and where to focus our efforts.
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

4. We Never Sell Your Data

Your email, payment information, and quiz data will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run ads. We do not have "data partners." Your information stays with us and the service providers listed below who help us operate the platform.

5. Service Providers (Data Processors)

We share your data only with the following service providers who process it on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it:

  • Database & authentication provider - Stores your account data and quiz results. SOC 2 Type II compliant. Data hosted in the United States.
  • Stripe - Payment processing. Handles all payment card data. PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
  • Hosting provider - Website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics. SOC 2 compliant.
  • Email delivery provider - Transactional email delivery (account confirmations, receipts, newsletter). Receives your email address only.
  • Google - OAuth provider for Google sign-in. We receive only your email and display name from Google.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days.
  • Payment records: Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.
  • Email subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Quiz data: Anonymous quiz results are retained indefinitely for research and improvement.
  • Server logs: Retained for up to 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • The right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.

9. International Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, we process your data under the lawful bases of contract performance (to provide your subscription), legitimate interest (to improve our platform and prevent fraud), and consent (for marketing emails). You have the rights described in Section 7 above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Your data is transferred to and processed in the United States by our service providers, who maintain appropriate safeguards.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@llmmatchmaker.com.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls in our database, secure authentication, and PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processing. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Unsubscribe & Account Deletion

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.

To delete your account and all associated personal data, email us at privacy@llmmatchmaker.com. We will process the deletion within 30 days. Note that we may retain certain records (such as payment transaction history) as required by law.

13. Third-Party Links

Our resources directory links to external AI tools and services. Some may be affiliate links. When you click these links, you leave our site and are subject to that service's own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as we add features or change our data practices. When we do, we will update the date at the top. For material changes, we will notify active account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. We will never retroactively weaken your protections without notice.
